Hummingbirds is a creator platform purpose-built for brands that need real content, from real people, in the cities where they’re in retailers.
We activate everyday creators, our “hummingbirds” to generate authentic, localized user-generated content (UGC) that supports retailer visibility, drives social proof, and helps marketing teams leverage creators without adding to their plate. Our platform replaces high-cost influencer models with a scalable, turnkey solution for activating shoppers and collecting usable content across key markets.

Kicking off 2025, we’ve generated millions of dollars in revenue, connected tens of thousands of creators with brands, and fostered authentic connections between those brands and local consumers who are excited to share, and support the brands they love!
Most importantly, we’ve helped democratize influence – people crave real recommendations from their friends. While influencers are amazing, we believe there’s also space for everyday people to share their favorite brands and secure collaborations, even without five-figure follower counts. At the heart of it all is our commitment to building stronger, more connected local communities, where everyone has a voice and a chance to make an impact.
Our Sales Team Composition
Our AE org consists of 6 stellar reps who have consistently exceeded their 2025 goals, and are hungry for a leader who can make them even better. As we enter our next stage of growth, we’re bringing on a frontline manager who can elevate this team and unlock the next level of performance. The AEs are supported by our Inbound, SDR, and Partner teams and our reps are exceptional prospectors who take charge of building their own pipelines and driving their success.
As a company, we operate very lean and are remote-first. While our HQ is in Des Moines, IA, the Sales org is fully distributed across Central, Eastern, and Atlantic time zones. With this distribution, we’re looking for someone who can bring tight communication rhythms and strong coaching to a remote-first environment.
This role is open to candidates across the US and Canada in Central or Eastern time zones.
Your Impact
Lead a best-in-class team of account executives and sales development representatives.
Become an expert in our product and the industry so that you can join calls with your reps as a trusted advisor.
Identify where automation and AI can streamline operations to eliminate low-leverage tasks and help your team operate at a higher level.
Partner with the GTMe org to define, implement, and refine those workflows for scale.
Manage and coach a high-performing team of AEs who own the customer journey from prospecting to CSM handoff.
Work with reps to develop processes to improve intra-stage conversions between various pipeline sales stages such as Meeting Set > Held, Meeting Held > Active Evaluation, Active Evaluation > Proposal Sent, Proposal Sent > Close Won.
Ensure team playbooks are being used as designed and iterate on what’s working, what’s missing, and where systems need to evolve to support scale.
Identify patterns and proactively share insights to help shape product roadmap, packaging, and pricing.
Set the tone for a high-accountability, high-autonomy culture where clear ownership and customer advocacy are the norm.
Inspire your team to be great for themselves and for our customers.
Requirements
2+ years of experience frontline managing an account executive team, ideally in an early stage, high-growth SaaS environment.
Experience owning the sdr function is a plus.
Strong hiring gravity and proven ability to attract and close top-tier AEs and SDRs who trust your leadership.
Note: This is a lean org with very few open seats in 2026, every hire must be a tier-1 performer.
You have a track record of personal and professional excellence and thrive in fast-moving, high-growth environments where performance is the expectation and decisive leaders drive momentum.
Strong command of both rep-level and team-level forecasting, with the ability to use data to project the number accurately and coach reps into predictable performance.
Curious and operationally versatile. You’re excited by the GTMe model, next-gen automation tools, and the opportunity to define what elite sales leadership looks like in an AI-first era.
Clear, confident communicator who can navigate cross-functional conversations with CS, Product and Executive Leadership
Structured and self-managed. You don’t just drive performance, you build the systems around it
Interview Process
We go through the same interview steps for all candidates to ensure equity in our hiring process. Our process is designed to learn as much about each candidate as possible, as well as to give candidates access to our team and learn about what it's like to be a team member at Hummingbirds. Topics will range from technical skills to problem-solving approaches and collaboration.
Steps to Expect:
Introductory Zoom call with a member of our hiring team
Scenario workshops where you’ll be given a real-world Hummingbirds situation and asked how you’d approach it as a leader
Panel interview with members of the Sales, Customer, and Leadership teams to explore cross-functional alignment
Mutual reference checks to ensure alignment on both sides
