GTM Orchestration Engineer

Who We Are

Hummingbirds is a creator platform purpose-built for brands that need real content, from real people, in the cities where they’re in retailers.

We activate everyday creators—our “hummingbirds”—to generate authentic, localized user-generated content (UGC) that supports retailer visibility, drives social proof, and helps brand teams do more without adding to their plate. Our platform replaces high-cost influencer models with a scalable, turnkey solution for activating shoppers and collecting usable content across key markets.

What We’re Doing

Our mission is to connect people to brands that make their lives better. We aim to be the go-to platform that empowers community-driven commerce, fostering authentic relationships between brands and local creators to inspire action and create lasting value. Through this approach, we help brands and communities to thrive together.

How We’re Growing

Kicking off 2025, we’ve generated millions of dollars in revenue, connected tens of thousands of creators with brands, and fostered authentic connections between those brands and local consumers who are excited to share, and support the brands they love!

Most importantly, we’ve helped democratize influence – people crave real recommendations from their friends. While influencers are amazing, we believe there’s also space for everyday people to share their favorite brands and secure collaborations, even without six-figure follower counts. At the heart of it all is our commitment to building stronger, more connected local communities, where everyone has a voice and a chance to make an impact.

Our Commitment to Modern GTM

Hummingbirds is scaling quickly, and with that growth comes complexity: more brands, more creators, more markets—and more data and processes to manage. We’re hiring our first GTM Systems Engineer / Architect to lay down the technical foundation that ensures our go-to-market engine doesn’t just keep up, but stays ahead.

We believe world-class GTM teams don’t rely on manual workarounds or bloated headcount to grow—they build for scale. That means clean, interoperable systems, robust automation, and AI-enhanced workflows that empower Sales, Marketing, Success, and Community teams to move faster, with confidence.

We’re looking for someone excited to architect and implement that future. Someone who sees automation as table stakes and is ready to integrate intelligent, adaptive systems that eliminate busywork, unlock insights, and give our team superpowers. You’ll be the technical force turning our vision of a seamless, insight-driven GTM operation into reality—and ensuring Hummingbirds stays at the leading edge of how modern revenue teams operate.

This role is open to candidates in Central, Eastern, and Atlantic time zones.

Your Impact

  • Audit GTM systems and workflows to uncover manual, error-prone, and siloed processes that create friction for customers and teams.

  • Define and map critical GTM processes end-to-end to enable automation, clear ownership, and continuous improvement.

  • Architect and build integrations across HubSpot, our platform, and other key systems—leveraging and expanding our Make.com (iPaaS) automations to eliminate data silos and enable real-time, reliable reporting.

  • Design and implement automated workflows to replace repetitive tasks, reduce errors, and close the efficiency gap where manual intervention is required.

  • Develop and optimize cross-functional processes and frameworks that ensure seamless handoffs, clear ownership, and efficient movement of leads, customers, and campaigns.

  • Establish data hygiene standards for field mapping, deduplication, and ongoing monitoring to keep data clean, reliable, and analysis-ready.

  • Co-author and maintain our AI vs. Automation strategy—defining where automation delivers efficiency gains and where AI enhances decision-making and personalization for our audience.

  • Build and maintain an automation audit log to track ownership, purpose, and performance of all workflows.

  • Create clear documentation, process maps, and training materials so GTM teams can confidently adopt and maintain new workflows.

  • Act as the go-to partner for Sales, Marketing, Success, and Community teams to move from manual, reactive processes to streamlined, insight-driven orchestration.

Technical Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience implementing, owning, or architecting GTM tech stacks at high-growth startups (Seed–Series B).

  • Proven ability to design and automate complex, cross-functional workflows using clear, maintainable logic.

  • Deep fluency administering HubSpot CRM, including customizing fields, workflows, scoring, routing, and reporting.

  • Certified (or advanced) Make.com user with strong experience building and maintaining iPaaS automations across core systems.

  • Experience designing lead scoring, routing, and handoff frameworks that align Sales, Marketing, and Success teams.

  • Experience designing clean data models and schemas to support reliable integrations and reporting.

  • Familiarity with APIs and webhooks to build robust, custom integrations.

  • Comfort with SQL and basic scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar) to create custom automations, integrations, and data transformations.

  • Ability to test, monitor, and maintain automations to ensure reliability and minimize errors or downtime.

Qualities We Value

  • High-Agency: You take full ownership of projects from design to deployment. You set clear expectations, follow through reliably, and ensure what you build works at scale and over time.

  • Systems Thinker: You see the big picture and design with the whole process in mind. You’re skilled at mapping workflows, anticipating dependencies, and creating solutions that stay maintainable and scalable as we grow.

  • AI & Automation Enthusiast: You’re genuinely excited about how these technologies are evolving. You stay current on new tools, breakthroughs, and industry best practices—not because you have to, but because you love this stuff. You’re the type who dives into the latest AI research videos or conference talks as soon as they’re out and immediately thinks about how to apply new learnings to improve workflows and systems.

  • Growth-Oriented: You’re eager to keep learning—not just new tools and automation patterns, but the why behind GTM strategy. You want to deepen your understanding of how Sales, Marketing, Success, and Community work so you can design better systems and grow into a strategic GTM leader.

  • Solutions-Driven: You don’t stop at spotting problems. You propose clear, pragmatic fixes, align work to team goals, and deliver measurable improvements that reduce friction and boost efficiency.

  • Collaborative Communicator: You make the complex clear. You can document processes, explain integration choices, and partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, Success, and Community teams to deliver value.

Pay and Benefits

  • The compensation range for this role is USD $120,000 - $140,000 on-Target Earnings (base + variable bonus)

  • Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, work from anywhere (100% remote workplace) and unlimited PTO
